Rolling into 2021

At Hobart Gymnastics Academy, the holidays have been anything but quiet!

After a successful application in the Community Sports and Recreation ‘Improving the Playing Field’ (Small) Grants Program, work began on the installation of a new heating system. Although it may seem unnecessary at this balmy time of year, the new heating system will ensure that the Academy’s gymnasts have a safe environment in which to train when the weather turns chilly and the frosts set in. A huge thank you goes out to Sink-182 Plumbing and Gasfitting and to Shepherd Electrical for ensuring the gym is ready (and compliant) for the winter.

Not to be outdone in productivity, the Academy’s staff and valued volunteers rolled up their sleeves and re-arranged the gym to better accommodate the burgeoning programs heading into 2021. A massive thank you is extended to Pontville Homes and Greens Welding for providing the skill and the muscle to move the foam pit and pit bar.

The Academy is also tremendously grateful for all the wonderful volunteers who slogged through the sweaty weather, shifted heavy equipment and jigsaw pieced the floor back together ready for our return to full training in the first week of February – and for a fresh and exciting 2021.

Come and check it all out!
