Success at State Championships

Junior State Championships signals the end of the Junior competition season ... and our WAG and MAG athletes have had a massive weekend!

Our WAG Level 5 and 6 gymnasts had a fantastic competition with some lovely routines executed with poise and style.

Both the Level 8 WAG and Level 8 MAG athletes chose to compete in the optional competition for senior athletes that runs alongside the Junior competition. It turned out to be a great decision as they all performed fabulously well with the addition of new skills added to their routines. Kobi Gray who competed Level 8 for the first time achieved a very commendable third overall while our WAG Level 8 gymnasts took over the podium with Hayley W placing third, Zoe coming in second and Hayley D taking out first place.

The WAG Level 3 girls all performed their routines well, with many of them achieving personal bests. Special mention to Hailee M who placed sixth on Floor.

Our massive team of WAG Level 4 gymnasts smashed the competition with spectacular routines! Special mentions go to:
Lillian - sixth on Vault in the 9 and under age group
Ava - third on Floor in the 9 and under age group
Sienna - first on Vault, fourth on Beam and topping it off with fourth Overall in the 9 and under age group
Chloe B - fifth on Vault in the 10 and 11 age group
Chloe G - first on Vault and first on Bars, placing second Overall in the 10 and 11 age group
Hailey J - second on Beam in the 10 and 11 age group
Amber - for an excellent competition, resulting in second on Vault, third on Bars, fourth on Beam and first Overall in the 10 and 11 age group
Sophie - third on Vault and second on Bars, Beam and Floor, resulting in second Overall in the 12 and over age group

Our Level 4 White Team (Chloe G, Sophie, Amber and Lucy) also came away with the Level 4 Second Overall. And additional congratulations go to Amber Piggin, who came away with the Level 4 Overall State Champion for 2021.

Heath, our only Junior MAG representative, also competed well and came away with fourth on Floor. 

A huge thank you also goes out to our WAG and MAG coaches for their hard work in training these gymnasts, and to our officials (coaches and judges) for their contribution to the competition.
