Tumbling Success in Launceston

On Sunday, 19 March, HGA had one of its largest contingents of tumblers competing in a single competition in recent years.

Our Level 4 athletes, Ella and Bronte, smashed out their passes, almost with too much power, and finished in 1st and 2nd position respectively with only 0.1 between them.

Level 5 competitors Isabel and Zara worked hard to complete their passes and fought for every skill, Isabel finished in 3rd position and Zara in 6th in a tight competition.

The Level 6 team, Leni, Poppy, Rosie, and Emily, and our Level 7 athlete Kiera, made it look easy. All passes were executed beautifully and landed securely. Emily took home the gold, Rosie the silver, and Leni the bronze with Poppy hot on their heels finishing in 4th by only 0.3. After a frustrating first competition in February, Kiera had a fantastic comeback and took out the Level 7 division.

Poppy, Rosie, Emily, and Kiera all reached the score required to be considered for the Tasmanian State Team traveling to Australian Gymnastics Championships in May, they join Leni and Isabel who achieved their scores in February.

Next up, Senior State Championships!
